O tipo RSBW é uma roda livre do tipo sprag de DC. É autocontido, centrado por rolamentos simples para baixas velocidades de rotação e selado usando anilhas O protegidas contra escudos.
A unidade é fornecida lubrificada com graxa pronta para instalação em uma posição horizontal ou vertical.
Principalmente usado como backstop, este tipo fornece uma alta capacidade de torque com um requisito de espaço mínimo. O design permite a instalação em ambientes difíceis, como áreas de alta umidade ou splash de água.
Um parafuso, fixado a uma parte fixa da máquina e passando pela ranhura no braço de torque, fornece o batente de rotação. A folga radial neste parafuso deve ser igual a 1% da largura da ranhura. O braço de torque e os rolamentos não devem ser pré-esforçados.

Type RSBW is a DC sprag type freewheel. It is self contained, centered by plain bearings for low rotational speeds and sealed using shield protected O Rings.
Unit is delivered grease lubricated ready for installation in either a horizontal or vertical position.
Primarily used as a backstop, this type provides a high torque capacity with a minimum space requirement. The design allows installation in difficult environments such as high humidity or water splash areas.
A bolt, secured to a fixed part of the machine and passing through the slot in the torque arm, provides the rotational stop. Radial clearance on this bolt should be equal to 1 % of the slot width. The torque arm and the bearings must not be prestressed.
